Facebook Faces A Whole New Round of Privacy Concerns
Google Chrome Speeds up Your Site from Search Results

Not satisfied to simply speed up their own site " Google is now speeding up yours (if it's the first result) from search results pages when you use the Chrome browser. They'll be making the technology open source when it is released - so that it will be available from all browsers. Here's a demo video:
Google had this to say about Google Instant Pages on their blog:
"When we trigger Instant Pages for your site, users can start interacting with your site almost immediately, without having to wait for text and images to load. We'll only trigger Instant Pages when we have very high confidence that your site is the exact result users are looking for."
They've put up a test page to show whether your page would properly pre-render in Chrome here, and discuss more details on the Google Code developers blog here.

Yahoo! Bing Transitions Expand To Asia Markets

...Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan and Vietnam. However, a notable exception will be that of Korea.
In fact Yahoo! and Bing recently completed this algorithmic transition for the European markets of Greece, Poland, Romania, Turkey and Switzerland (in German, French and Italian languages, i.e. the three main languages of that country).
In August the duo announced a similar step for the following countries/regions- Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, the Netherlands, Sweden and MENA (Middle East and North African countries, in Arabic language). And that announcement had again come close on the heels of other similar announcements, wherein Yahoo! and Bing had informed about the launch of this service in various other countries, such as New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Venezuela, USA, Mexico, France, Germany, India, Italy, Spain and UK.

Google Shares Impressive Video Stats
Google shared some impressive Q3 earnings numbers this week and for the first time broke down a bit more of how they achieved it. While Google didnt share specific revenue numbers for YouTube, they did say that they are now monetizing an impressive 2 billion views per week. That's a jump of 50% from last year. Recent reports suggest that YouTube is approaching $1 billion per year in revenue.
As part of an effort to prove that it's revenue wasn't just coming from search ads, the company also shared that mobile revenue had topped $1 billion and display advertising was now a growing $2.5 billion business.
