Microsoft Buys 8 Search Engine Optimization Domain Names

...the owner of the Bing.com search engine. There could be a few reasons, the most logical being brand and trademark protection, as I do not suspect that Microsoft is going to go into the search engine optimization business anytime soon.
Microsoft purchased 49 domain names today, and eight of the domain names were related to "search engine optimization" for their Bing.com search engine:
searchengineoptimizationforbing.info
searchengineoptimizationforbing.net
searchengineoptimizationforbing.org
seoforbing.info
seoforbing.org
bingsearchengineoptimization.info
bingsearchengineoptimization.org
bingseo.info
What I find particularly interesting, though, is that there aren't any .COM domains on the list. All of these domain names are either .net, .org, or .info domain names. It does not appear that any of the .com domains are owned by Microsoft at this point.

When you go to any of these 8 domain names, they appear to resolve to a search result for the related keyword phrase on Bing.com.
What I find particular funny, as a sidenote to all of this, the seoforbing.com domain name appears to be pointed at Google right now:

Google Chrome Speeds up Your Site from Search Results

Not satisfied to simply speed up their own site " Google is now speeding up yours (if it's the first result) from search results pages when you use the Chrome browser. They'll be making the technology open source when it is released - so that it will be available from all browsers. Here's a demo video:
Google had this to say about Google Instant Pages on their blog:
"When we trigger Instant Pages for your site, users can start interacting with your site almost immediately, without having to wait for text and images to load. We'll only trigger Instant Pages when we have very high confidence that your site is the exact result users are looking for."
They've put up a test page to show whether your page would properly pre-render in Chrome here, and discuss more details on the Google Code developers blog here.
